How Expensive are Legal Services?

The cost of legal services depends on what your needs are.  A complex set of trusts will cost more than a simple trust, or a simple will.  The real question is, "What is the cost of doing nothing? If your estate exceeds $100,000, the failure to have a trust can result in a probate proceeding, costing your heirs thousands of dollars, and many months of uncertainty.  Similarly, the failure to have A General Durable Power of Attorney in place can result in a court-supervised conservatorship, again at the cost of thousands of dollars and years of court involvement.

How do I Know What I Need?
I offer a free 1/2 hour consultation, which gives us the opportunity to determine your needs.  We can discuss various estate planning options to find a satisfactory and affordable solution for your particular situation.

What Should I Bring to My Appointment?
  • Copies of any existing estate planning documents.
  • Copies of deeds for any real estate in your name.
  • A list of any other assets (stocks, bonds, bank accounts, IRA's, etc..) in your name.
  • The name and address of anyone who will be a beneficiary, trustee, or executor.
  • A list of any questions or special concerns you may have.
